Supporting Our Community

At La Tua Pasta, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to contribute positively to the world around them. Whether it’s protecting the environment for future generations or working to combat food insecurity, our actions reflect our values. Through our considered packaging solutions and meaningful collaborations with charitable organisations, we’re proud to make a tangible difference. Every step we take is guided by our mission to leave a lasting, positive impact on both people and the planet.

PASTA FRESCA AUTENTICA!

Our Commitment To The Environment

We act today to protect tomorrow’s world. Over the last few years we have launched several environmental initiatives including new packaging from recycled materials. For this we won a ‘zero waste to landfill’ award in 2015.

Over the years we have launched several initiatives to help protect and restore the environment, the most significant of which has been our switch to recyclable packaging.

Back in 2015 our waste management process won us a ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ award from ACM Environmental. But we didn’t stop there, since then we’ve continued to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging while maintaining the high level of food safety for your pasta.

For instance, most of our pasta packaging now uses recycled plastic that is similar to milk cartons, we chose it specifically because it’s accepted for recycling by 95% of local councils.

The polystyrene insulation (for the boxes we ship outside of London) is gradually being replaced by wool and marine-safe plastic.

The frozen gel packs (for orders outside of London) are being replaced by reusable eco-friendly ice packs.

We are replacing all bubble wrap with shredded and recycled cardboard.

Corporations We Collaborate With

La Tua Pasta is dedicated to making a positive difference in the local community by actively combating food insecurity and reducing food waste. In collaboration with organisations such as The Felix Project, The Capitanio Sisters, and City Harvest London, we ensure that none of our pasta goes to waste, instead donating it to charities, schools, and those in need.

Supporting Our Community

During the Covid-19 pandemic, we were honoured to provide over 6,000 free meals to NHS frontline workers, with our pasta being prepared by renowned caterers and charities like The Conduit, Rocket Food, Smart Hospitality, Moving Venue, and Help Them Help Us. In recent years, we have also established a Christmas fund to support The Capitanio Sisters Charity and The Homeless Fund, which played a key role in creating London’s first 24-hour drop-in women’s centre at the Marylebone Project, offering homeless women a safe and welcoming space. As a responsible food business, we understand the challenges of addressing food insecurity and are committed to continuing our efforts, having already donated 12,143 kg of surplus food to City Harvest London in 2023, extending our positive impact throughout London and beyond. Through these ongoing initiatives, we remain steadfast in our mission to create a more sustainable and compassionate food system, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
